L. Frank Melazzo D.M.D
Dr. Melazzo is a native of Birmingham Alabama, growing up not too far from where he practices Dentistry today. After Dr. Melazzo graduated from Shades Valley High School, he attended Auburn University, completing his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1980. Dr. Melazzo attained his Dental Degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry where he was the president of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. After graduation from Dental School, Dr. Melazzo served a Dental Internship at the.Spark's Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders. He then became the Dental Director for the Glenn Ireland Developmental Center for several years while he started his private practice in Dentistry.
Maintaining a commitment to excellence, Dr. Melazzo has completed numerous hours of Continuing Education. He attended the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education San Francisco, California and the UCLA Esthetic Dentistry Continuum. Most recently Dr. Melazzo attended the Nash Institute for Dental Learning. He has maintained his membership in the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, The
Academy of General Dentistry, the Birmingham District Dental Society and is a member of the Birmingham Chapter of the Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Melazzo is married to Angela D'Amico Melazzo and they have one son, Trey. Trey attends Vestavia Hills School. Dr. Melazzo and his family are members of St. Peter's Catholic Church where Dr. Melazzo has been a member since he was in the third grade. He has served as the Parish Council President and has been a member of the Folk Choir. He enjoys music and plays the banjo and harmonica. He has been involved in youth sports programs as a League Director and coach.
